A few days ago, I shared “Jab Rahnuma Andhe Ho” (When the Guides Become Blind)—an Urdu song reflecting on what happens when leadership loses wisdom, truth becomes inconvenient, and people stop questioning the narratives placed before them.

Over the past few hours, I’ve been reimagining the music and emotional journey of the song. The lyrics remain the same, but the new musical design takes it in a different direction—more reflective, more cinematic, and perhaps closer to the message I originally wanted to convey.

The song is not about any particular nation, group, or time. It is about a timeless question:

What happens to a society when those entrusted to guide can no longer see?
