Our world is plagued by injustice, dishonesty, and various forms of cruelty, manifesting at all levels—from individuals to communities, and even nations. This troubling reality persists because people often act according to their desires, unconstrained by moral principles. Those who do wrong typically change their ways only when all other options are exhausted. The freedom given to humanity is a double-edged sword, as life itself is a test. On the Day of Judgment, everyone will be held accountable for how they exercised this freedom—no one will be exempt from this reckoning.

But why do people delay acknowledging the truth until they are forced to? Why must they be compelled to treat others with justice instead of doing so willingly?

It’s like a dam holding back rising waters. As people act without restraint, injustices accumulate, building pressure until the flood of truth becomes too powerful to contain. When the dam finally breaks, the force of justice can no longer be resisted. Wouldn’t it be wiser to release the waters gradually, allowing truth and justice to flow freely before the dam bursts and causes irreparable harm?

Similarly, people often resist doing what is right until circumstances leave them with no other choice—waiting for the flood of consequences to compel them. If only they understood that justice, like a steady river, should be allowed to run its natural course, rather than waiting for the inevitable deluge.
