In life’s grand tapestry, success threads from personal planning and external support. Personal effort is but a strand, while external factors weave the majority. Overconfidence blinds us to this balance, focusing solely on personal effort and ignoring outside influences, leading to unexpected failures.

Managing overconfidence is simple: consult with wise, objective individuals before making decisions, and be ready to admit, “I was wrong,” when necessary.

Modesty is the anchor that keeps us grounded. It fosters realism and careful assessment, revealing our limitations and shielding us from harm.

Overconfident individuals are trapped in their own minds, missing the broader wisdom of others, which often results in disaster.
