Living in society is akin to sailing on a vast ocean rather than being marooned on a solitary island. Just as a sailor must navigate the currents and winds, we must navigate the complexities of social interaction. Like a ship surrounded by other vessels, we find ourselves among family, community, and nation, and beyond to the global stage.

If we steer our course with egocentrism, we risk colliding with other ships, creating unnecessary rivalries. Instead, embracing others and adjusting our sails to accommodate their presence ensures smoother sailing.

Choosing confrontation over reconciliation is like igniting a spark amidst dry tinder—it quickly leads to uncontrollable fires of conflict and ultimately, the devastation of war. By rejecting confrontation and embracing reconciliation, we build bridges over troubled waters, allowing our journey through life to flow uninterrupted.

While reconciliation may seem like yielding ground to others, it is, in fact, aligning ourselves with the natural order. Just as a tree bends with the wind rather than resisting it, adopting a conciliatory approach allows us to harmonize with the laws of nature, ensuring our success in the voyage of life.
