Political authority is not a mere privilege but a solemn responsibility, a test ordained by the Almighty. Just as worldly possessions are subject to Divine scrutiny, so too is political power, ensuring fairness and justice. Leaders ought to perceive themselves as stewards of the Almighty, dedicated to serving rather than dictating to their people. Their duty is to govern with integrity, not to exert control. Exploitation, unethical policies, and territorial claims are not their rights but responsibilities entrusted for the betterment of society. The Almighty’s teachings, exemplified by Prophet David, emphasize the importance of upholding truth and justice, warning against personal inclinations (Quran 38:26). Leaders must prioritize rationality over emotional biases and ideologies in decision-making, finding a harmonious balance between moral principles and personal desires. Those who stray from this path face the wrath of their citizens, a contemporary manifestation of divine justice reminiscent of historical retribution against unjust rulers. In ancient times, unjust rulers were replaced by others; today, they are ousted through the ballot box. Though the method has evolved, the essence of divine justice remains unchanged.
